Stacey Smith
Accounting and Office Manager

Stacey joined NetStrategies in early 2007 to manage the company's accounting and to administer employee benefits. Before joining NetStrategies, Stacey managed her own decorative art business, creating and selling beadwork and gourd basketry. Selling her work at art shows and working with clients on custom orders gave Stacey insight into helping her customers make the best decisions to fulfill their needs. That insight has helped make Stacey a valuable part of the NetStrategies team.

Stacey has worked over 12 years as an editor and proofreader. She worked for The National Captioning Institute which brings closed captions to television viewers and for Elias, Matz, Tiernan, & Herrick LLP, a top-ranked Washington, D.C., securities law firm. Stacey has a B.A. in English from Virginia Tech and takes several courses a year to continue her education.

Working with an environmentally conscious company is important to Stacey and she is happy to be a part of NetStrategies which places importance on recycling and conservation. She and her park ranger husband live in the beautiful Mason Neck State Park in Lorton, Virginia.

Do you have any hobbies?
Probably too many! In addition to arts and crafts, I love to cook and bake. I also really enjoy vegetable and herb gardening. To relax, I like to walk our dogs on the park's trails which almost always leads to a bald eagle sighting.

Have you read any good books lately?
The last book I read was "The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals" by Michael Pollan. It's an amazing book that really opened my eyes to the importance of knowing where your food comes from.
