March 18, 2009 – Web-based Meetup.com groups in Greensboro, NC, invited Robert Moses and Sam Kanakanui to teach them the basics of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) during their March gathering. The presentation was called, "Search Engine Optimization – What is SEO, Why It Matters, and How to Get Started." The presentation was intended for bloggers, Web site designers/developers, and for the non-technical business owner.

"I described the core technical aspects of SEO and showed members the quick way to get started," said Moses.

Moses and Kanakanui met with the Triad Web and Greensboro Weblogger Meetup members on March 18, 7 p.m., at the Greensboro Central library. The one hour class covered the importance and fundamentals of SEO. "I described the core technical aspects of SEO and showed members the quick way to get started," said Moses. "We also covered the benefits of good SEO efforts."

Those in attendance had positive feedback for the presenters. "Sam and Robert did an incredible job presenting," said John Ford, organizer. "So much valuable information and things we can all start using right away."

Member Angel Guerrero was also impressed. He said, "I enjoyed the flow of information. It was not too tech and not over simplified. The information was very relevant for both designers and business owners alike. The presenters were very confident… and had good control of the crowd."

Pat Cheely, another member in attendance, found the presentation very interesting. "Sam and Robert did a great job of presenting and taking the time to answer questions."
